Tron is a blockchain-based decentralized platform which develops a digital content
entertainment system equipped with distributed storage technology to allow an easier and
cheaper method of sharing digital content.

Founded in September 2017 by Tron Foundation, it is headed by chief executive officer, Justin
Sun alongside an in-house development team that also operates the Tronix (TRX)
cryptocurrency.

TRX can be used by content consumers to pay for the content they want to access as the coins
will be deposited to content producers’ accounts that can be exchanged to other cryptocurrencies
or as payment for blockchain services.

Using blockchain and peer-to- peer network technology, Tron is connecting content creators and
content consumers by eliminating middlemen and monopolies which greatly lessens the cost for
both parties. The platform has the same business model with Netflix by allowing users to host
and use digital content but its system lets consumers to directly pay content creators for access to
content.

At present, Tron’s services is limited as a free platform for peer-to- peer distribution and storage
of content but additional features are being developed including those that involve monetary
incentives to promote the creation and hosting of content that will depend on user interaction and
engagement that works like a tip.

Likewise, the system is also planning to enable content creators to build their own personal
brands that can issue individual initial coin offerings and personal tokens. Tron is also eyeing to
enable participants in the system to create their own decentralized gaming and predictive markets
platforms which will be allowed to raise funds.

Where to buy?

Tronix can be purchased on major crypto exchanges like Coinbase, Cex.io, Liqui and Binance by
exchanging them for other cryptocurrencies like ETH or BTC but purchase with fiat currencies is
currently not allowed.

Is it mineable?
Tron is not mineable and will have a total supply of 100,000,000,000 TRX. At present, there is
already 65,748,111,645 TRX out in the market.
